VERENA ISSEL
Verena Issel studied fine arts at the HfbK Hamburg and classical philology at the University of Hamburg. Numerous travel grants and artist residency programs have taken her to Russia, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Lithuania and Papua New Guinea, among other places. In recent years, the Kunsthalle Mannheim (DE), Volksbühne Berlin (DE), the ZARYA Center for Contemporary Art (RU), the Trafo Kunsthall (NOR) and the Westfälische Kunstverein / LWL Museum Münster have dedicated individual presentations to her.
FLORIAN ADOLPH
Florian Adolph studied interdisciplinary art and free painting at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main. Since 2006 he has been concerned with the conditions of human perception in a media context. In doing so, he deals with the relationship between abstraction and figuration and questions patterns of perception. Against this background, he develops new interdisciplinary artistic production methods that also include collaborative approaches. Using augmented reality and blockchain technologies, he adds the dimension of functionality to his work. Florian Adolph has been a co-founder of WAVA, an app-based exhibition platform for geolocated augmented reality art, since 2021. Since 2022, he has been teaching on the topic of "Web 3.0 (NFTs and Metaverses)" at Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences.
SOLVEIG SCHMID
Solveig Schmid studied Fine Arts at the Universität der Künste, Berlin under Robert Lucander and Valerie Favre. She graduated in 2022 as Meisterschüler and has exhibited widely at art galleries and institutions in Berlin such as Grisebach, Inselgalerie and Galerie Kai Erdmann. Alongside her Berlin presentations, she has exhibited at Sofia art week and Varna and received recently the Scholarship of Dorothea Konwiarz Foundation, in 2020.
JULIA BELIAEVA
Julia Beliaeva was born in Haisyn Vinnytsia region, Ukraine. From 2005-2011 she studied at the Kyiv State Institute of Decorative and Applied Art and Design named after Mykhailo Boychuk where she graduated in 2011. She lives and works in Berlin.
NICHOLAS WARBURG
Nicholas Warburg studied art at the California Institute of the Arts in Santa Clarita from 2015 to 2017, and at the Städelschule in Frankfurt am Main from 2017 to 2020 in the class of Tobias Rehberger. His work, which often addresses German history and art history with an air of ambivalence, has been shown at venues like Kunstpalast Düsseldorf, Kunstraum Potsdam, Kunstverein Leipzig and Kunsthalle Portikus. He was awarded prizes, scholarships and residencies such as Künstlerhilfe Frankfurt, Stiftung Kunstfonds, neue Gesellschaft für bildende Kunst Berlin, Mousonturm Frankfurt, Q21 Wien or Lichter Art Award. Since 2021 he has been teaching Art as a guest professor at the University of the Arts Berlin. Nicholas Warburg is co-founder of the collective Frankfurter Hauptschule, which has attracted attention with spectacular interventions in public space since 2013. He lives and works in Frankfurt am Main.
